A prominent building materials retailer in the City of Plattsburgh is seeking Yard Material Handlers to provide exceptional customer service in an outdoor yard environment. The role includes inventory management, safe use of materials, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position offers a pay range of $18 to $20 per hour with benefits, including a 401k plan, paid holidays, and profit sharing. Ideal candidates will be able to lift heavy materials and wear required PPE while working in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of building materials is a plus.

We are seeking Yard Material Handlers to provide exceptional customer service in our outdoor yard environment using proper material handling practices and PPE to load, unload, and store material.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management and merchandising of product
• Safe and proper use of equipment and materials
• Work outside year‑round in a variety of seasonal weather conditions
• Provide customer service skills to serve customers
• Full time 40+ hours per week, consistent schedule, ideal retail hours
• Paid weekly on Fridays, discretionary profit share after one year of employment, six paid holidays and PTO immediately

• Must be able to lift 50-80 lbs regularly and operate a propane forklift safely
• Must wear PPE
• Building material product knowledge a plus

$18 - $20 per hour with annual performance based raises.
