Job summary

EvolutionHR is seeking a Material Handler in Christiansburg, VA to gather, pull, and deliver materials for internal departments. The role includes transferring materials within the warehouse to correct locations and supporting production and shipping as needed.

The candidate should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a drug screen and background check, and demonstrate strong verbal communication. Evening and weekend OT may be available.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Strong verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading inventory from trucks.
• Pulling, staging and moving orders for production and shipping.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Accurately count, place, stage and prepare material as required and complete paperwork.

EvolutionHR is currently looking for Material Handler in Christiansburg, VA. The Material Handler will be responsible for gathering, pulling, and delivering materials for internal departments. The Material Handler will also be responsible for transferring materials entered into the warehouse to the accurate locations.

Responsibilities of the Material Handler:

• Loading and unloading inventory from trucks
• Pulling, staging and moving orders for production and shipping
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Accurately count, place, stage and prepare material as required and complete paperwork

Requirements of the Material Handler:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50lbs occasionally
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with work orders and workflow
• HS diploma or GED required
• Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check

Compensation and benefits of the Material Handler:

• 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd shift availability
• Pay: $18.00 per hour
• 40+ hours a week plus potential overtime on weekends as needed
