Mygrant Glass Company Inc is seeking a Material Handler in Charlotte, NC to support warehouse operations. This full-time nonexempt role requires handling, staging, and shipping duties using RFID/scanning tools, forklifts, and inventory systems with strict attention to accuracy and safety.

The position emphasizes timely processing of incoming shipments, proper documentation, and cooperation with the Branch Manager and team to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• CMV DOT Medical Card preferred.
• Pass and maintain Forklift certification.
• 2+ years warehouse or equivalent experience.

Responsabilités

• Select incoming pick tickets using RFID or scan gun to fulfill orders.
• Prepare, pack, and scan, and stage products for transfer and customer pick-up/delivery.
• Receive, process, and store incoming auto glass shipments.
• Inspect shipments, document damages or shortages, and initiate freight claims when necessary.
• Check deliveries against packing list and verify vendor part numbers.
• Prepare receiving reports and report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Store products in correct bin locations and verify counts against inventory system.
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and related equipment safely.
• Maintain required certifications and adhere to safety policies.
• Assist in maintaining branch appearance and cleanliness.

Reports to: Branch Manager

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Select incoming pick tickets according using RFID / or scan gun technology to accurately fulfill customer orders.
• Prepares, packs, and scans (as appropriate), and stages products for transfer and customer pick-up and delivery in accordance with established standards.
• Quickly and accurately receive, process, and store incoming auto glass product shipments.
• Ensures shipments are inspected, and damages or shortages are documented and recorded. Initiates freight claim procedure when necessary.
• Checks incoming delivery contents against packing list to verify accurate and full delivery.
• Verifies vendor part number and MGC stock number for all incoming products.
• Prepares receiving reports and notes any shortages, damages or overages. Promptly reports any discrepancies to supervisors.
• Stores incoming products in proper location according to bin number or product sequence.
• Determines proper bin number and/or location of incoming products.
• Verifies actual counts of stock against current warehouse inventory management system ( ie : CORE). Investigates and reports discrepancies.
• Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and OR other equipment safely and in accordance with organizational procedures.
• Monitors equipment and promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors
• Maintains required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications
• Break down boxes, stock accessories and organize inventory as directed
• Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards.
• Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, etc.
• Other job duties as assigned.

OTHER DUTIES:

• Aid in prepping, inspecting, labeling and loading safely to maintain KPI objectives and limit breakage.
• Loads delivery vehicles and assists customers with will call pickups.
• Drive company vehicles for customer deliveries, transfers or assigned maintenance
• Processes customer returns. Ensures returns are in sellable condition per company policy.
• Verifies that warranty paperwork has been properly and neatly filled out. Initiates warranty return process, and stages product in warranty area.
• Processes documentation necessary to ship transfers and customer orders, including bills of lading, packing lists, small parcel manifests, and other necessary documents.
• Performs cycle counting on assigned items to keep accurate inventory records.
• Perform other job tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in a warehouse environment
• Familiar with modern warehouse software with basic computer skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Detail and Safety oriented with a mind for accuracy
• Exceptional time management skills, punctual with stellar attendance
• A beginner’s mindset that is coachable and open to feedback
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team, and or take direction in an ever-changing working condition
• Ability to work flexible shifts or overtime as needed

Material Handlers operate material handling equipment to select, stock, and organize products as well as hand-handle materials to stage at appropriate load sites. Where a pay band is provided, actual pay may be above the listed range based on the individual's experience, education, certifications, knowledge, skills, and geography/work location. The listed range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this opportunity at the time of posting.

Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law. Base pay does not include other forms of compensation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal/mobile device; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts; Ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels, and making fine discriminations in sound; Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must have finger grip strength to properly handle glass. Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or upright, for prolonged periods of time, traverse stairs, maneuver in tight spaces, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch occasionally during 8-10-hour work shift.
