Job summary

AMADA America, Inc. in California seeks a Warehouse Worker to receive, stock, and inventory raw materials and parts for the Brea facility. You will interpret shipping documents, prepare parts for the next process, and ensure accurate material transactions.

The role supports a 4-day, 10-hour schedule (Mon–Thu). Ideal candidates have material handling experience, ISO 9001 knowledge, 5S discipline, and strong Excel/email skills; SyteLine ERP familiarity is a plus. Pay is $23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP or inventory systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Ability to learn logistics processes and multitask with limited supervision.
• Experience with material handling in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret shipping documents to identify and count items.
• Sign and submit packing slips and bills of lading to logistics staff.
• Arrange parts on carts or pallets for internal or external transport.
• Prepare/kit sheet metal and steel parts for next process (Welding, Painting, Assembly).
• Document material movements and enter data into the database.
• Report damaged or obsolete parts to supervisors.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and staging areas.
• Verify picked items against pick lists and machine serials.

Job description

Receives, stocks, and takes inventory of raw materials and parts for machines produced by Amada
America, Inc. Distributes parts to all production departments at the Brea or La Mirada manufacturing
facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

In accordance with Amada America, Inc. policies and standards, a warehouse worker shall:

• Interpret shipping documents to identify and count items.
• Sign and submit shipping documents such as packing slips and bills of lading to logistics leads, supervisors, and purchasing staff.
• Arrange parts on carts or pallets for transport to locations within and outside of manufacturing facility.
• Prepare/Kit sheet metal and structural steel parts for the next process such as Welding, Painting, or Assembly.
• Document transport of materials in manufacturing facility by checking off parts lists, entering parts information into database, and completing job timecards.
• Report damaged, defective, unidentified, and obsolete parts to logistics supervisors and managers.
• Organize and clean warehouse, receiving, and shipping areas to facilitate the location, identification, and transport of items.
• Perform other functions as specified by Production Control management.
• Verify picked items against pick lists and machine serial before staging, and own accuracy of all material transaction

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment by actively participating in company safety programs.
• Comply with all aspects of the corporate environmental, health and safety program.
• Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality per company policy.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP AND SCHEDULE

This role follows a 4-day, 10-hour schedule, Monday through Thursday, and reports to the Department Supervisor

PAY RATE

$23.00 Per Hour

DESIRED SKILLS

• Learn logistics processes in order to solve problems and multitask with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 (2015).
• Able to follow 5s standards.
• Working knowledge of Excel and e-mail applications.
• Prior material handling training in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Experience with ERP or inventory systems, SyteLine a plus

TRAVEL

• Very little travel (may occasionally be required to transport or pick up items to other locations).
