Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY is seeking a Material Handler to support inventory and materials flow. You will work as part of a team, coordinate handling activities, and take direction from the department supervisor daily.

Responsibilities include identifying stock, pulling materials, maintaining in-process inventory, documenting dispositions, and performing cycle counts. Forklift certification is preferred; HS diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers materials to work centers and opens materials as needed.
• Records units delivered and their locations to track disposition.
• Performs pre-use inspections and maintains material-handling equipment.
• Performs cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Processes nonconforming material including DMRs and hold tags.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
• Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies
• Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections
• Performs cycle counting to insure inventory accuracy.
• Performs nonconforming material process including device master records (DMRs) and hold tags
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education
• <1 yearexperience ofpacking/shipping experience
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Forklift operator certified or ability to become certified
