Job summary

Ryerson is seeking a Service Center Operator C (SCOC) to support day-to-day staging, packing, and picking of materials for shipments. The role involves operating forklifts, completing SAP work orders, and ensuring accurate documentation during shipping and receiving.

Qualifications

• Pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 1 year of similar job experience preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer.

Responsibilities

• Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders.
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders.
• Packaging of material to customer requirements.
• Operating a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material as needed.
• Proper completion of paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping/receiving on the computer.
• Maximum productivity for finished goods creation.
