Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Ontario, CA is seeking a motivated Material Forklift Operator to join our team. This role loads and unloads trailers, moves materials safely, and maintains accurate shipping documentation. You will operate a forklift, use an RF scanner, and work with a team while following safety standards.

Applicants should have at least one year of forklift experience, be able to work various shifts, and obtain forklift certification. Pay is $22.50 per hour.

Georgia-Pacific is looking to place a motivated Material Forklift Operator to join our team at Georgia Pacific in Ontario, CA! This role creates value by loading and unloading trailers, unloading materials into the facility warehouse efficiently and safely. Successful employees in this role demonstrate teamwork, initiative and adherence to all safety standards and codes.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• Adhere to company safety policies and encourage other associates to do so as well
• Safely driving and operating a forklift and/or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products and materials.
• Utilize a Radio Frequency (RF) scanner.
• Work cooperatively and productively with the team to complete assigned tasks
• Properly and accurately completing all required shipping documentation both manually and with the use of a computer software system.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Obtain and maintain company forklift certification.
• Understand basic computer skills
• Work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy environment
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
• Work any shift, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed

The Experience You Will Bring (Basic Qualifications)

• One (1) year of experience driving and operating a forklift within an industrial or warehousing environment

Pay:

• For this role, we anticipate paying $22.50 per hour.

Shift Requirements:

• Shift Hours (Monday - Friday) 7:00AM to 3:30PM 1st shift
• Shift Hours (Monday - Friday) 10:30AM to 7:00PM 2nd shift
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
