Job summary

Bosch is seeking a Machine Operator I to fabricate sheet metal parts using an operate-press and shear systems. You will inspect parts, report discrepancies, and log yields in MES while maintaining a clean 5S work area.

The role requires reading blueprints, applying tolerances, and completing brazing training if needed. Safety and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Use of decimals, fractions and scales.
• Complete in plant Brazer training course (if brazing is required for the job).

Responsibilities

• Operate press machine to fabricate sheet metal parts within tight tolerances.
• Inspect parts and report discrepancies.
• Enter yield into MES and production log at the machine; maintain 5S area.
• Set up automatic and manual shears; monitor multiple machines; ensure pieces meet spec.

Job Description

Operatepress machine to fabricate specified sheet metal parts withinvery closetolerances. Inspect parts,operatematerial transfersystemand reportdiscrepancies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

In addition to the duties and/or responsibilities of Machine Operator I, perform the following:

• Work Safe!
• Basic computer operating skills.
• Obtainblue printfrom MES.
• Work fromblue prints.
• Check everytwenithpart for correctness to check part and or print.
• Enter yield into MES and production log at their machine, 5S area.
• Auto Shear:
• Set dials oncontrolconsolefor automatic shears, such as number of increments, increment feed and clamp position.
• Twelve Foot Shear:
• Perform calculations todeterminethe blade position. Set back gauge position and material feed clamps on manual shear. Make necessary adjustments.Feed part intomachine. Run two machines simultaneously asrequired. Inspect parts to drawings or set-up person’s first specification piece, every 20 pieces. Record productionin MES and on theproductionlogincluding machine downtime.Maintainmachine,equipmentand an orderly work area, 5S area.
