Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Materials Coordinator who will report to the Materials Manager and supervise the materials associates responsible for pulling parts to the production lines.

Responsibilities include following work orders, moving materials, maintaining tape measure accuracy, and communicating via two-way radio. You’ll handle basic inventory math and data entry with AS400, Word, and Excel, with training provided for assembly tasks.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading, writing, & verbal skills.

Position Description:

This position will report to the Materials Manager. The Coordinator for the Materials Department will supervise the materials associates that are responsible for pulling parts and bringing the parts to the production lines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:

Experience and education are a plus; however, it's not required. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you'll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.

Physical Demands:

As an Materials Coordinator, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate tools or controls for the entirety of their shift. The employee needs full range of motion in arms and hands, all Materials Coordinators must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some employees also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
