Job summary

Inteplast Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a warehouse associate to efficiently receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires forklift operation, familiarity with scissor lifts, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with a 12-hour rotating schedule and weekend work.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of material handling, warehouse or manufacturing experience required.
  • High school diploma orGED preferred.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift required.
  • Previous experience operating a scissor lift preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and operating elevated equipment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Willingness to overtime and non-standard hours as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety regulations and plant policies.
  • Pass required forklift and load hogs training.
  • Record materials counts and data via handheld scanners.
  • Process work orders and document units handled for invoicing.
  • Stage finished products in correct warehouse locations.
  • Move freight and materials using pallets, forklifts, and related equipment.
  • Operate Warehouse Location Management System and scanners for maintenance moves.

Job Description

Efficiently receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials in accordance with organizational standards and operational requirements.

Work Schedule: This position follows a 12-hour rotating schedule (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.), consisting of alternating 2-2-3 workweeks. Employees work every other weekend. Starting Pay $17.00 an hour.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience required.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift required.
  • Previous experience operating a scissor lift preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and operating elevated equipment.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and transport materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate overtime and non-standard work hours as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complies with monitors and enforces all written and verbal safety regulations and programs of the plant and department.
  • Pass all required training to safely operate forklift and load hogs.
  • Understand and adhere to plant policies and procedures.
  • Ability to accurately count and record all types of materials – finished goods, raw materials, roll stock and scrap.
  • Position requires accurate entries of information via handheld scanners.
  • Process work orders, documents number of units handled, interpret verbal instructions to determine tasks, and transmit data for invoicing.
  • Stages finished product in proper locations within the warehouse.
  • Moves freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers by hand or by using electric pallet trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Proficient in use of Warehouse Location Management System and can operate scanners efficiently and accurately to perform maintenance move operations to ensure maximum storage locations.

Work Environment Conditions:

  • Ability to work in an environment that is cold in wintertime, hot, or humid in the summer months.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices & Software:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a sit-down and/or stand-up forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Experience operating a scissor lift safely and in accordance with company safety procedure (preferred).
  • Comfortable working at heights and able to perform tasks while operating elevated equipment.
  • Ability to complete required equipment inspections and safely operate powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse equipment safety and OSHA guidelines.
  • Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse inventory systems (preferred).

Physical Activity Required:

  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Steel Toed Shoes, Ear Plugs, and Safety Glasses)
  • Ability to quickly move your hand, your hands together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, lift, manipulate or assemble objects. (frequently)
  • Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs. (frequently)
  • Ability to stand and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. (frequently)
  • Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously to lift objects up to 50 lbs. (frequently)
  • Ability to see (in low light), hear spoken words, and verbally communicate.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period. The position requires walking up to 8 hours per work shift.
  • Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 30 lb.) (frequently)
  • Must be able to reach and lift above shoulders (frequently)

Visual Activity Required:

  • Vision to read and clearly observe.
