Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a Material Control Analyst to join a safety-conscious, customer-focused team in Missouri. This role coordinates department processes, audits data, and helps resolve operational issues.

Responsibilities include recording and reporting, inventory counting, improving material flow, tracking shipments, and collaborating with suppliers to resolve stock issues. Proficiency in Excel and Outlook is required.

This is a Monday–Friday, first-shift, on-site position.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years inventory/auditing/transportation experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college, preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of transportation, supply chain and logistics concepts.
• Strong problem solving and time management skills required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi task.
• Ability to follow processes and standard procedures.
• Experience analyzing large sets of data.
• Advanced computer skills including Excel and Outlook required.
• Must learn and operate multiple WMS platforms.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Use computer to enter records and generate reports.
• Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to standards.
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine assignments.
• Complete daily logs.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve customer inventory and material flow processes.
• Track shipments to ensure deadlines are met.
• Follow daily parts control functions, including track and trace, production schedule analysis, and exception management.
• Provide parts follow up ensuring optimal material flow.
• Meet customer deadlines and develop metrics dashboards highlighting analytics.
