Job summary

Trader Joe's is seeking a Mate to join our crew as an Assistant Store Manager in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead and develop Crew Members, coach others, and model behavior aligned with our values to deliver WOW experiences for shoppers.

Responsibilities include daily store operations, customer service, and team empowerment, with a focus on collaboration and growth within a dynamic, people-first organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent retail, restaurant or hospitality experience.
• 2+ years of recent experience at the management or supervisory level.
• A high school degree or equivalent.
• A history of developing individuals and teams through empowerment and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register in a fun and efficient manner.
• Bag groceries with care.
• Stock shelves and receive load.
• Make the store a welcome place for customers and Crew.
