Job summary

YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a Mat Pilates Instructor to lead classes and provide excellent customer service while fostering a supportive community. You will guide safe, effective workouts and adapt to various fitness levels in a welcoming environment.

The role requires a Nationally Accredited Mat Pilates Certification, CPR/AED and First Aid training, and the ability to manage class flow and equipment setup. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Nationally Accredited Mat Pilates Certification is required.
• 1+ year of Mat Pilates class leadership is preferred.
• All trainings must be completed within 90 days from date of hire.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire from an approved organization.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive member experience by greeting participants and keeping them engaged.
• Demonstrate proper form, modifications and cueing for safe workouts.
• Maintain a clean and safe workout area.
• Efficiently use scheduled class time.
• Set up and breakdown class equipment within the allotted timeframe.
• Build community by learning names and helping members reach wellness goals.
• Adhere to YMCA guidelines and class standards.
• Be physically able to lead and participate in activities.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and communicate with groups effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
