Responsibilities

• Lead group exercise classes following YMCA standards and guidelines.
• Communicate and enforce wellness center rules at participants’ comprehension level.
• Train participants in a demonstrative and professional manner.
• Watch and correct participants when exercising unsafely.
• Promote wellness and other YMCA programs.
• Arrive 10–15 minutes early to set up duties and equipment.
• Take attendance and ensure participants are registered properly.
• Educate members on appropriate attire for group exercise.
• Teach the entire session; arrange subs for sickness/vacations as needed.
• Build positive relationships and provide motivational support.
