Professional Medical Practice, P.C. seeks an Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC-T/CASAC/CASAC2) to join the medical department at the Onondaga County Correctional Facility in Jamesville, NY. Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with a $24.00–$28.00 hourly rate.

The role requires CASAC credentials, a related degree, and clinical experience. Responsibilities include coordinating behavioral health services, MAT liaison duties, and patient therapy sessions.

Qualifikationen

• CASAC-T/CASAC/CASAC2 certification required.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling with drug/alcohol coursework.
• Minimum one year clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to function independently and build trust with patients.

Aufgaben

• Monitor, coordinate, and implement behavioral health program in line with policies.
• Liaise with medical and facility staff regarding MAT.
• Engage patients in therapeutic interventions for substance use.
• Facilitate group and individual MAT sessions.
• Assist in suicide risk detection and prevention.
• Document encounters using SOAPE format.
