McCluskey Automotive in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Master Technician to diagnose, repair and expertly analyze drivability issues in a satellite service facility at 435 E. Galbraith Rd.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of diagnostic automotive repair, ASE A6/A8/L1 and strong electrical knowledge, with a proven ability to deliver first-time repairs. We offer a Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends, competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience with a strong diagnostics focus.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical and computer-controlled systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and repair databases.
• ASE Certifications (A6, A8, or L1 preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on vehicles using scan tools, software, and hands-on testing.
• Identify root causes of complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues.
• Diagnose and repair systems including engine, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, and electrical.
• Interpret diagnostic trouble codes, wiring diagrams, and TSBS.
• Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly with service advisors and customers.
• Complete repairs correctly the first time, adhering to standards.

A Short List of Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics on vehicles using scan tools, software, and hands-on testing
• Accurately identify the root cause of complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues
• Diagnose and repair systems including engine performance, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, and electrical systems
• Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), wiring diagrams, and technical service bulletins (TSBs)
• Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly with service advisors and customers
• Complete repairs correctly the first time, adhering to manufacturer and shop standards
• Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation
• Document diagnostic steps, labor, and repairs accurately in the shop management system
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience, with a strong focus on diagnostics
• Advanced knowledge of automotive electrical and computer-controlled systems

• ASE Certifications (A6, A8, or L1 preferred) or equivalent experience
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE Master Technician certification
• Experience diagnosing Domestic vehicles
• Emissions and drivability diagnostic expertise
