Job summary

Quapaw Nation Careers seeks a dedicated Master Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment at the O-Gah-Pah Learning Center. You will plan and implement curriculum, supervise staff, and ensure DHS compliance while building strong relationships with children and families.

The position requires CDL eligibility, strong knowledge of child development, and commitment to high-quality early education within a tribal community.

Qualifications

  • Certificate of Mastery in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from an accredited Oklahoma college or university
  • Current Child Development Associate (CDA) or Certified Childcare Professional (CCP) credential
  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university with at least six (6) college credit hours in Early Childhood Education or related coursework
  • Occupational Childcare Competency Certificate for a Master Teacher or Lead Teacher through an Oklahoma technology center, with three (3) months of satisfactory full-time experience in a licensed or legally exempt childcare setting
  • Thirty (30) college credit hours from an accredited college or university, including at least twelve (12) credit hours in Early Childhood Education or related coursework

Responsibilities

  • Maintain constant supervision of children in care and oversee activities to ensure safety.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans with at least five weekly activities based on the Director’s curriculum.
  • Administer medications in accordance with policies and document properly.
  • Maintain communication with staff, parents/guardians, and children.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in trainings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Perform daily housekeeping duties as needed.
