Job summary

Lakeside Foods Inc. is seeking a Master Electrician to join our central Minnesota facility. You will repair, install, and test electrical circuits and equipment, maintaining motor control centers and PLC systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.

Candidates should hold state Master Electrician certification, prefer a GED or high school diploma, and bring strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills. On-site work with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as Master Electrician by the state.
• GED or high school diploma acceptable.
• Experience with industrial electrical troubleshooting required.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment.
• Repair and maintain motor control centers and PLCs (1000V and below).
• Perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Assist plant mechanics with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Supervise and train production staff as needed.

Pay Range: $35.59 - $46.70/hour, based on education and experience.

What You’ll Do

• Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
• Repair and maintain motor control centers and programmable logic controls (1000 volt and below).
• Make emergency repairs when necessary to offset excessive downtime and production delays.
• Assist plant mechanics with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Supervise and train production staff as needed.

What You’ll Bring

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
• Must be certified by the State to meet all requirements necessary to hold a Master Electrician rating.
• Minnesota signing master electrician.
• Experience with industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair is required.
• Prior experience troubleshooting PLC programs is a plus, willing to provide on the job training.
• Strong work ethic.
• Safety mindset, utilizing extreme care on troubleshooting and repairs where high voltages are involved.
