It is **a hybrid position, located at any of our sites in NA**. The role is accountable for a single, executable master schedule that starts at raw material availability and ends at a confirmed customer delivery date — including the raw material, packaging and core/pallet inputs required to run it. This is a corporate role reporting to the North America PPS Manager. Consolidating planning and scheduling by network at Corporate is what makes cross-site campaigning, one point of contact, and enforceable schedule discipline possible. The role carries two outcomes simultaneously: reliable customer commitments (clean orders confirmed within 24 hours, a minimum one-week frozen period the sites can commit to) and machine efficiency (grade changes reduced through campaign-based scheduling by grade family).**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Confirm clean customer orders within 24 hours of receipt; publish and maintain committed dates.* Validate and prioritize all incoming demand such as customer orders, stocking requests, qualification trials and account escalations against capacity, material availability and the frozen schedule.* Update promise dates in response to customer change requests and communicate revised dates through the defined channel.* Reconcile forecast against actual orders and escalate systematic gaps; forecast-to-order disconnects (for example, a forecast of 80K lbs against orders of 120K lbs) drive material scrambles and schedule breakage, and identifying and closing them is part of the role, not an exception.* Maintain key-account stocking-program inventory within the agreed 80–90% service band, with 100% as the ceiling, and participate in periodic reassessment of stocking levels.* Build and own the master production schedule for all assets in the assigned network.* Operate the weekly planning cadence: Tuesday — review demand; Wednesday — align with the PPS team; Thursday noon — lock the 7-day schedule; Thursday EOD — release to Operations.* Hold the minimum one-week frozen period; the scheduler does not absorb unapproved changes.* Sequence production by grade family into campaigns, and move low-volume and low-demand grades to defined cycles (for example, quarterly nonwovens, three-week or annual requalification cycles) rather than scheduling them reactively.* Coordinate timing of shared and common grades across sites within the network so the same grade is not run inefficiently on multiple assets at overlapping times.* Publish the schedule from the system of record.* Own the material requirement signal that comes out of the schedule: translate the locked and near-term plan into raw material, furnish, packaging, core, and pallet requirements.* Partner directly with procurement buyers on raw material lead times, coverage, and supplier on-time delivery, and flag material-driven schedule risk before it becomes a run change.* Do not release a schedule that materials cannot support; where lead time constrains the plan, resequence deliberately rather than allowing the machine to chase materials.* Support inventory accuracy and finished-goods flow, including warehouse capacity constraints that limit how hard an asset can be run.* Own machine efficiency and grade-change reduction as a primary, measured accountability of the role — not a by-product of scheduling.* Design and maintain campaign-based schedules that materially reduce grade-to-grade changeovers and roll changes, combining compatible grade families so changes can be made on the fly, and convert the recovered hours into saleable production.* Review and maintain minimum production quantities (MPQ), machine outputs and system scheduling cycles so run levels are defined rather than fluctuating.* Improve deckling and trim efficiency in partnership with Operations; challenge conservative deckling practices that create avoidable machine waste.* Track and report machine metrics for the network and drive a continuous improvement agenda against them.* Route all schedule-change requests through the defined escalation path to the PPS Manager; the scheduler does not negotiate schedule changes directly with commercial or site stakeholders outside that path.* Receive, validate, and act on unplanned downtime reported by the sites, adjust the plan and dates accordingly, and communicate the impact to all affected parties.* Report plan versus actual production and in-period plan changes on the weekly cadence.* Do not attend customer meetings; customer-facing contact is routed through Customer Operations and Commercial.* Use the scheduling and ERP system (TIPS) to its full capability, including scheduling cycles, run parameters and reporting, and Ontiv for packaging specifications.* Eliminate redundant manual practice — duplicate Excel schedules, daily printing of inventory, trim lists and packaging specifications — where the system provides the same output.* Contribute to and follow the Scheduler Handbook, escalation procedures, downtime communication protocol and scheduler metrics; help standardize these across sites as the network expands.* Support the network optimization initiative with capacity, volume and grade-flow analysis, including asset load balancing and volume reallocation scenarios.* Document coordination overhead and capacity limits of the network scheduling model and contribute to gate reviews and phase decisions.* Support onboarding, training and succession coverage for Associate Schedulers and peer networks. **REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:*** Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations management, industrial engineering, business or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.* Demonstrated end-to-end planning experience — must have owned the full chain from raw material availability through production scheduling to customer order confirmation; experience limited to one segment (order entry only, or machine scheduling only) is not sufficient.* 5–8 years of progressive experience in production planning, master scheduling or materials planning in a continuous or semi-continuous manufacturing environment.* Proven record of improving machine efficiency through scheduling — specifically campaign or grade-family sequencing, changeover reduction, run-length extension and MPQ or lot-sizing discipline; able to quantify the changeover reduction and hours recovered.* Direct working experience with procurement and raw material lead-time management, including making and defending the call to resequencing a plan when materials cannot support it.* Strong ERP or APS proficiency and advanced Excel or equivalent analytical capability;
