Job summary

Camaco LLC is seeking a seasoned Materials Planner to coordinate inventory, plan material flow, and forecast inbound materials to align with production schedules. You will manage deliveries, monitor BOM accuracy, and work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time shipments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Materials/Purchasing, 5+ years in manufacturing (automotive a plus), and strong MRP/Excel skills. Office and plant-floor collaboration are essential for maintaining production continuity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials/Purchasing or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing setting, automotive a plus.
  • Experience using an MRP system; Plex is a plus.
  • Strong Excel and data-analysis skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels.
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit.
  • Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
  • Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries.
  • Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule.
  • Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
  • Utilize MRP system and ensure data accuracy.
  • Monitor BOM integrity and inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels against target levels.
  • Support inventory checks and create regular reports.

Job description

Purpose

Planning and monitoring the materials and products. Manage the flow of inventory and schedule outbound finished goods to customers. Monitors the performance of vendors to ensure continued quality and timely shipments. Schedules and forecasts the right volumes of materials, goods and products inbound to the business from its supply chain companies. To ensure that the supply of materials meet the production schedule and minimum stock levels to ensure operational and production continuity. Able to deliver efficient, effective and flexible solutions to meet production requirements.

  • Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels.
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit.
  • Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
  • Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries.
  • Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule.

  • Implement all processes to agreed standards/targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and ensure data is accurate, up to date, and resolve any issues as required.
  • Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels.
  • Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy.
  • Create regular statistical reports and analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Materials/Purchasing, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5 plus years of experience in a manufacturing setting – automotive a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience using an MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system – Plex is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Competencies Technical Capacity Organizational Skills Teamwork Orientation Problem Solving/Analysis Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) MRP and MPS Systems Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliers Confidentiality.
