Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Master Scheduler for a 2nd Shift, direct-hire opportunity with a Tier 1 manufacturing company located near Normal, Illinois.
This position will be responsible for coordinating production, materials, and logistics schedules to support customer requirements and maintain efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials planning, production scheduling, ERP/MRP systems, and inventory management, preferably within a Tier 1 automotive or Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in materials planning, production scheduling, supply chain, or materials management preferred.
- Automotive or other high-volume manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting JIT/JIS production environments is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong understanding of production planning, material flow, logistics, inventory control, and customer requirements.
- Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems for production and component planning.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, production teams, and plant leadership.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing production and customer demands.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production and material schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity.
- Coordinate production, materials, and logistics planning to ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved.
- Serve as a key interface between customers, production, materials, logistics, and supply chain teams.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage component requirements, production schedules, and material availability.
- Monitor customer demand and adjust schedules based on forecast changes, production constraints, and material availability.
- Track inventory levels and identify potential material shortages, excess inventory, or scheduling risks.
- Follow up on deliveries and coordinate corrective actions when potential customer or production disruptions arise.
- Communicate scheduling priorities and changes across plant operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory, material flow, scheduling accuracy, and on-time delivery.
- Help ensure production schedules align with customer requirements in a high-volume, JIT manufacturing environment.
