Job Overview
We are seeking a Master Scheduler for the Ingersoll Rand Pump (IRP), MP Pump and Oberdorfer Pump (MPOB) Business Unit. The role will establish, review, and maintain the master production schedule aligned with the SIOP consensus plan, coordinating with operations, material planning, and production planning to meet customer service goals while optimizing inventory and capacity in a CNC manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Translate the demand plan by product family into a detailed weekly master production schedule with an 8‑12 month horizon for weekly MRP generation.
- Incorporate inter‑company demand and backlog into the SIOP supply planning process to ensure sufficient capacity and resources.
- Review and update fulfillment and planning strategy for all parts quarterly.
- Monitor and resolve MRP processing errors.
- Support customer service with exception request analysis and expediting resolution.
- Create and publish daily, weekly, and monthly schedule adherence, capacity, and inventory reports.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert for IRP/MPOB production planning and scheduling modules.
- Identify and resolve constraints related to capacity, resources, and material.
- Facilitate long‑term capacity assessment (RCCP) and develop counter‑measure/action plans.
- Conduct lead‑time analysis, measure gaps against published lead times, drive corrective actions, and review lead‑time updates.
- Analyze and report key performance indicators such as delivery performance, backlog, performance relative to the master schedule, and inventory turns.
- Drive continuous process improvement and challenge existing processes when favorable alternatives exist.
- Manage exception messages generated by the MRP system.
- Maintain data integrity of SAP planning parameters, including lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and order file data for all master scheduled items.
- Design and implement a finite‑capacity master scheduling process for multiple CNC machines incorporating setup times, labor availability, and other constraints.
- Provide training on master production scheduling procedures and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis for product forecasting, master scheduling, shipment forecasting, and inventory management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in rate‑based or flow‑line (non‑MRP) and CNC job‑shop manufacturing environments.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, inventory management, MRP, and lean manufacturing processes.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with visual management systems.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with SAP.
- APICS CPIM certification in production and inventory management, or a commitment to obtain it within the first 18 months of employment.

Travel & Work Arrangements
Compensation
Pay range: $80,000 – $90,000.
