Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a Master Scheduler to maintain and optimize production schedules across multiple facilities. You will work with procurement, production, engineering, and Project Management to meet customer demands, minimize downtime, and optimize resource use.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in production scheduling, and proficiency with ERP/MRP systems. You will report to leadership and contribute to continuous improvement across scheduling and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Create the master production schedule balancing work centers for multiple products and facilities.
  • Ensure Production Reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules for demand, equipment, or staffing changes.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and highlight shortages.
  • Coordinate with Materials management to ensure project kits are available at each stage.
  • Communicate schedules with production supervisors and team leads to resolve conflicts.
  • Report to Leadership on schedule variations and document downtime.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
  • Inform Project management of delays or concerns on projects.
  • Publish weekly summaries of completed, delayed, or rescheduled work orders and deviations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling and production efficiency.
  • Maintain schedule adherence reports and develop new metrics as needed.

Job Summary:

The Master Scheduler is responsible for maintaining and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

This role coordinates with various departments including procurement, production, engineering, and Project Management to meet customer demands, minimize downtime, and optimize resource utilization.

Requirements
  • Creates the master production schedule, balancing work centers for multiple products and facilities
  • Ensures Production Reporting is done accurately and timely
  • Monitors production progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand, equipment availability, or staffing.
  • Collaborates with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components and highlight any shortages.
  • Works with Materials management to ensure project kits are available and complete at each stage of the process.
  • Works closely with production supervisors and team leads to communication schedules and resolve conflicts.
  • Reports to Leadership on any variations to production plans, logs all downtime, and works with production leadership on resolution of variations.
  • Analyzes production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Informs Project management of any delays or concerns on their projects.
  • Maintains and publishes weekly summary reports of completed, delayed, missed, or rescheduled work orders, and reasons for deviations.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, planning, and overall production efficiency.
  • Maintain all schedule adherence reports, develop new reports and metrics as identified and required by the manager.
  • Manages all expedite requests for schedule date changes
  • Facilitates cross-functional scheduling meetings
  • Runs the Clear to Build and Clear to Schedule Process for multiple facilities as part of the Sales & Operations Execution Process
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to use ERP/MRP systems to manage and update production plans.
  • Understanding of production planning, capacity management, and inventory control principles required
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
  • Ability to stoop and bend required
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time required
