Job summary

Karman Space and Defense is seeking a Master Scheduler to oversee master schedules across programs, aligning resources and driving on‑time delivery of critical space hardware.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and production teams, monitor milestones, and provide actionable schedule insights to stakeholders. Five or more years in scheduling and proficiency with MS Project or Primavera are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in project scheduling, planning, or coordination in a complex environment.
  • Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • High attention to detail in capturing dependencies, constraints, and milestones.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
  • Flexibility to adapt schedules and resource plans as priorities evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains master schedules for programs and operations.
  • Coordinates scheduling activities with project managers, department leaders, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Monitors progress against milestones and deliverables, identifies deviations and corrects course.
  • Identifies scheduling risks and develops mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluates and improves scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Provides schedule updates, metrics, trends, and performance insights to stakeholders.
  • Facilitates communication among cross‑functional teams and external partners.
  • Provides training, guidance, and support on scheduling tools and practices.

Karman Space & Defense is a leader in the rapid design, development, and production of critical, next‑generation system solutions that align with the U.S. Department of War and its allies’ core mission priorities, and meet the accelerating demand for access to space. Building on nearly 50 years of success, we deliver Payload & Protection Systems, Aero/Hydrodynamic Interstage Systems, and Propulsion & Launch Systems to more than 80 prime contractors supporting over 130 space and defense programs.

As a Master Scheduler, you will oversee the development and management of detailed schedules that drive program execution across engineering, operations, and production. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align resources, track progress, resolve conflicts, and support decision‑making that ensures on‑time delivery of critical space and launch hardware. You will play a central role in maintaining schedule integrity, improving planning processes, and supporting organizational transparency and coordination.
