Job summary

Unlocked Potential is seeking Clinicians to provide in-home counseling and therapeutic services to I/DD youths aged 5 to 21. Candidates must hold a valid NJ Clinical License and be reliable, organized, and approachable. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs and working closely with families.

The role requires flexible hours and the ability to travel to client homes. Benefits include paid time off, paid training sessions, and access to discounts through our program.

Qualifications

In working with children and families, Unlocked Potential's staff utilize an individualized, strengths-based, and holistically informed approach.

Job Description

Our Clinicians offer “in-home” counseling and therapeutic services to help support I/DD youths between the ages of 5 and 21.

• Common impacts to functioning may be due to a variety of reasons such as major life stress, trauma, or lifelong intellectual and developmental delays.
• As a scheduling consideration, families typically require youth services in the after‑school hours (3pm‑8pm) and on weekends.
• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, or other intellectual/developmental delays.

Qualifications

• Punctually and consistently meet with each assigned child and family each week for the authorized number of hours (typically 2‑4 hours per youth) to implement treatment plans which foster adaptive and social skills for the youth while educating and supporting the family around the youth’s needs.
• Keep and maintain accurate billing and treatment records.
• Work cooperatively with other identified team members to develop and implement a service plan on the youth’s behalf.
• Must be willing to go into the home of the families served for the authorized number of hours per week based on each referral.
• Must possess a valid NJ Clinical License (LAC or LSW).
• Must possess a driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (vehicle must be documented by the agency to be insured and registered).
• Must consent to and pass a criminal background check.
• Must have basic computer and cell phone knowledge and be able to comply with all HIPAA (confidentiality) laws as it relates to Protected Health Information.
• Must be able to continuously complete role functions requiring sufficient physical ability, mobility, vision, hearing, and communication when providing direct services to youth and families in the home, community, and/or via telehealth.
• Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and a self-starter.
• Must be creative, enthusiastic, and a team player!
• Bilingual or sign language a plus.
