Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a seasoned Supply Planner to develop and maintain cross-facility supply plans aligned with demand forecasts and inventory targets. You will drive MRP execution, coordinate with manufacturing, procurement and sales, and support SIOP communications to executives.

The role requires strong analytics, ERP skills, and the ability to manage planning across multiple sites, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels in a dynamic manufacturing network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in supply chain, operations, engineering or related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems and MRP processes is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain supply plans to support demand forecasts, inventory targets, and customer service objectives across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Lead supply planning activities for assigned product lines and locations, ensuring alignment between demand, production capacity, inventory, and material availability.
  • Facilitate supply review meetings as part of the SIOP process and communicate supply risks, constraints, and mitigation plans to key stakeholders.
  • Translate demand forecasts into executable supply plans and coordinate production requirements with manufacturing, materials, procurement, and sales teams.
  • Manage planning parameters and planning data within SAP to ensure accuracy and effective execution of MRP processes.
  • Analyze inventory levels, production schedules, capacity utilization, and supply chain performance to identify opportunities for improvement and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Coordinate planning across multiple facilities including Berlin, Beaver Dam, Allmand, and Enercon.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support planning decisions, supply chain visibility, and operational performance.
  • Monitor planning KPIs and identify root causes of performance gaps while implementing corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Partner with Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, Materials Management, and Operations teams to align supply plans with business objectives.
  • Support new product introductions, business growth initiatives, and continuous improvement projects across the supply chain organization.
  • Document planning assumptions, supply risks, mitigation plans, and key decisions while effectively communicating updates to stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
Certification / License

Work Experience
  • 5 years of supply planning, production planning, scheduling, inventory planning, or related supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Working knowledge of supply planning, production planning, inventory management, and forecasting principles
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems for planning activities
  • Experience executing and managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and planning models
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and multi-site supply chain environments
  • Ability to develop, communicate, and execute supply plans in support of customer demand and operational objectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, Materials Management, and Operations teams
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Preferred Job Requirements
Education
  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
Certification / License
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification
Work Experience
  • 7 years of supply planning, master planning, production planning, scheduling, or SIOP experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations
  • Experience leading supply review meetings and participating in SIOP processes
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Advanced SAP planning experience
  • Advanced Power BI and supply chain analytics capabilities
  • Experience supporting complex manufacturing networks with multiple production facilities
  • Experience driving process improvement and supply chain optimization initiatives
