Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) seeks a skilled painter to join our team in Texas. You will apply finishes, textures, wall coverings, and related applications to elevate our spaces.

Precision, creativity and craftsmanship are essential as you work on diverse projects across our stores and facilities. Requirements include 3-5 years of painting, finishing and wallpapering, 3-5 years of carpentry, a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work nights/weekends as

Pay Range: $24.65- 30.57 hourly

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Monitor Provide direction, insight and prioritization for paint projects and schedules
• Manage Prepare wall surfaces (repair/patch sheetrock)
• Plan and schedule work to meet deadlines while communicating effectively with multiple parties
• Assist Hang wall coverings, including paper, vinyl, graphic design
• Maintain records of work performed, including colors throughout building

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 3-5 years painting, finishing and wallpapering experience, plus 3-5 years carpentry experience
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Lift test required: ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department
• Ability to climb stairs
• Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, motor vehicle record and criminal background check
