Job summary

Coury Hospitality is seeking a Bartender to deliver exceptional bar experiences, crafting cocktails, wines, and beverages with a welcoming, guest-focused approach. The role emphasizes speed, accuracy, and hospitality in a busy bar setting.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, upselling, wine service, placement of beverage orders into POS, and maintaining bar cleanliness and stock. Must be 21+ with strong communication and beverage knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must be age 21 or above.
• Outgoing personality, positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of wine and beverage brand selections, drink garnishes, prices, etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the inspiration, ingredients, and technique used in all house cocktails.
• Able to confidently make food and beverage pairing recommendations.
• Knowledge of pre-check register operation. Basic math skills and money handling ability.
• Knowledge of computer operations and ordering procedures.
• Knowledgeable basic sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Observe customers as they enter the bar area and greet/seated promptly.
• Present drink menus, make recommendations, take beverage orders, and upsell.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks per recipes.
• Execute wine service when necessary.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and drinks.
• Record drink orders accurately into the POS system.
• Accept guest payments and process charges.
• Learn regular patrons by name and provide hospitable service.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and proper stock levels.
• Report maintenance problems to management.
