Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Master Mechanic in Jackson Hole, WY. You will diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer readiness.

The role includes mentoring peers, handling warranty work, and working in a busy shop environment. Your background should include at least 3 years of professional auto repair experience, current ASE certifications (minimum 3), and the ability to obtain two additional ASE certifications within the first year.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and at least 3 years of auto repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3); ability to obtain 2 more within first year.
• Strong knowledge across ASE areas including Engine Repair, Brakes, Electrical, A/C, and Engine Performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex automotive repairs on a wide range of makes and models.
• Diagnose engines, transmissions, exhaust, brakes, electrical, A/C, and onboard computers.
• Serve as a technical resource to other technicians and share best practices.

WhatYou'llDo:

You will perform standard and complex automotive repairs, including warranty work, on a wide range of vehicle makes and models with minimal technical supervision. This includes diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, brakes, electrical systems, air conditioning, and onboard computer systems.

You will work on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles, giving you the opportunity to apply your skills across multiple brands and technologies. As a Master Mechanic, you may also serve as a technical resource for other technicians, providing guidance and sharing best practices to support overall shop performance.

Your work plays a critical role in vehicle reliability, safety, and availability-directlyimpactingthe customer experience by helping ensure vehicles are ready when customers need them.

WhatWe'reLooking For:

• Valid Driver's License

• Minimum 3 years of professional auto repair experience

• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with the ability toacquire2additionalASE certifications within the first year

• Strong knowledge across ASE certification areas including, but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, and Engine Performance (Light Vehicle/Diesel)

• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels

• Must have a complete set of toolsrequiredfor automotive repair and maintenance

• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry

• Must be able tolift upto 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk,sitand kneelfrequently, enter,exitand drive vehicles

• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States

• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely

• PreviousOriginal Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience is preferred and considered a strong advantage
