Qualifications

• Experience with bricklaying and masonry techniques.
• Restoration experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plans and specifications.
• Experience with chimneys, lintels, repointing, and repairs is a plus.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lay brick, block, and other masonry materials according to plans and specifications.
• Perform new construction masonry work with proper alignment, coursing, joints, and finish.
• Perform historic masonry restoration and repair, including repointing and rebuilding.
• Rebuild and repair chimneys.
• Remove and replace damaged brick.
• Replace and repair lintels and other masonry components.
• Match existing brick, mortar color, and historic masonry details.
• Prepare work areas and materials for masonry installation.
• Mix and apply mortar and other masonry materials.
• Safely operate masonry tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Work independently and with a crew.
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, productivity, and professionalism.
