Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a facility, distribution center, or manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years with industrial electricity including motors and sensors.
• 3+ years with PLC logic, uploading/downloading PLCs, and related software.
• 3+ years with electronics such as sensors, I/O modules, servo drives and scanners.
• Ability to climb to high levels and lift up to 50 pounds, with safe work practices.
• At least 1 year in leadership or cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and coordinate work assignments for maintenance staff to ensure critical tasks are completed on time.
• Mentor technicians through orientation, training, and performance objectives.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on material-handling and DC equipment.
• Maintain CMMS records and follow manufacturer maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain a safe work environment and address safety issues.
• Contribute to financial decisions and cost controls.

Job description

Master Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the facility operating and repairing system problems. Master Maintenance Technician is required to lead the team, mentor Maintenance Technicians and Senior Maintenance Technicians, and act as systems subject matter expert (SME) for the facility and equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prioritizes and coordinates work assignments for Maintenance Technicians and Senior Maintenance Technicians to ensure critical work assignments are completed correctly and on a timely basis.
• Mentors Maintenance Technicians and Senior Maintenance Technicians through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, communication of good maintenance practices.
• Prioritizes, schedules and performs:
• preventative maintenance tasks and mechanical repairs to material-handling and other DC equipment.
• preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on high-tech automated equipment.
• Uses Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain distribution machinery and equipment according to the manufacturer's recommendations and good maintenance practices.
• Maintains a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues concerning material-handling equipment or distribution center facility.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a facility, United States Armed Forces, distribution and/or manufacturing environment. OR Associate degree in Industrial or Maintenance Technology AND at least 3 years of maintenance experience in a facility, United States Armed Forces, distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years of experience with industrial electricity including single phase and three phase power, motors, protective devices and/or photo sensors.
• At least 3 years of experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic principles, uploading and downloading Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), System Control Software (SCSs), and scanners.
• At least 3 years of experience with electronics such as photo sensors, remote Input/Output modules (I/Os), servo drives, variable frequency drives and scanning systems.
• Willing and able to climb to the 100-foot level for repairs, lifting parts and tools weighing up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks which include repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, and walking including reasonable accommodation.
• At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
• At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other team members.
