University of Akron is seeking a Maintenance Repair Worker at Assistant, Maintenance, or Master level to perform installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of campus buildings and facilities. Tasks span carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, masonry, painting, welding, and sheet metal work on a dynamic university campus in Akron.

The role offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule on-site with opportunities for leadership at higher levels and training to advance within the department.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or 2–5 years of trades experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Perform installation, maintenance, repair, inspection, troubleshooting, and replacement of campus buildings and related systems.
• Carry out carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, masonry, painting, welding, and sheet metal tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with other trades and provide guidance at the Master level.
