Sheridan is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Tech 2 for first shift in Vermont. You will perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and building systems, working independently and specializing in at least one building trade.

Qualifications

• The job requires a high school diploma or GED/HiSET.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
• Fundamentals of electricity understood.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment.
• Knowledge of building trades, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Verbal and written communication skills basic.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reliable with good attendance.
• Overtime or on-call availability is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Frequent standing, walking, overhead work.
• Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling and crawling.
• Must wear hearing/eye protection and safety shoes.

Job Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician 2 will complete all designated or assigned maintenance or repair of production equipment and building systems of a moderate to high degree of complexity, on an independent basis and be proficient in at least one building trade or function.

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of a High School diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position required.
• Basic understanding of the fundamentals of electricity.
• Able to diagnose and make complex repairs on equipment.
• General knowledge of all building trades.
• Basic understanding of pneumatics.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good interpersonal skills required/team player.
• Ability to perform work productively and safely.
• Reliable; good attendance is required.
• Required to work mandatory overtime or be on emergency call as needed.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to a maximum of 50 lbs. frequently.
• Frequent standing, walking, handling, and reaching/working overhead required.
• Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, sitting, crouching, and crawling required.
• Good visual acuity and manual dexterity required.
• Must wear hearing protection, eye protection, and safety shoes.

Schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM – 40 hours/week

• Overtime pays time and a half after 40 hours per week
• $2,500 Hiring Bonus after 12-weeks
• 8% Shift Premium working on 2nd shift
