Job summary

3 Axis Inc. is seeking a skilled fabricator and installer to join our small team. The primary focus is building, assembling and installing custom work from detailed shop drawings.

This is not a repetitive production position; projects change constantly, and you will enjoy working with your hands to create unique products and complete high-quality finished work. You will measure, lay out, fit and assemble using plywood, hardwoods, plastics, aluminum and other materials, while safely operating

Qualifications

• Strong woodworking and general fabrication skills.
• Ability to read and work from shop drawings.
• Experience safely operating woodworking equipment and power tools.
• Strong measuring, layout and mechanical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Dependability and ability to complete work safely and on schedule.
• Professional communication and conduct, particularly at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble custom exhibits, displays, signage and architectural features from shop drawings.
• Perform accurate measuring, layout, fitting and assembly.
• Work with plywood, hardwoods, plastics, aluminum and other materials.
• Safely operate woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, fit and finish.
• Install hardware, graphics, lighting and other components.
• Deliver and install completed work at client locations.
• Plan installation needs, including tools, hardware, equipment and sequencing.
• Troubleshoot fabrication and installation challenges.
• Communicate professionally with clients, contractors and other trades onsite.
