Richland County is seeking a skilled Electrician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various County facilities. The role includes providing instruction to subordinate electricians and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Minimum compensation is set at $23.92 per hour. The ideal candidate will possess a valid state driver's license and a Master Electrician certification within the first year of employment. Experience requirements include at least two years in the electrical field.
The purpose of this position is to perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment; to provide instruction and leadership of subordinate electricians in the absence of the Electrician Supervisor, and to perform related work as required.
Requires at least two years of experience in the electrical field.
Requires medium-to-heavy work that involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, reaching, pushing or raising objects and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis. Requires climbing and working from ladders and scaffolds.
Potential exposure to bright/dim light, dusts and pollen, extreme heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions, extreme noise levels, vibration, fumes and/or noxious odors, moving machinery, electrical shock, heights, toxic/caustic chemicals.
Minimum: $23.92 per hour.
