Job summary

KIHOMAC, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to manufacture, assemble and install aircraft structural components, following technical manuals and drawings.

The role requires precision measurement and strict adherence to safety protocols in a hands-on, unsupervised capacity. Candidates should have a high school diploma (associates preferred) and 10+ years of professional experience in related tasks, with the ability to obtain a security clearance if needed.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate’s Degree preferred in management or technical/scientific discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture, assemble, install and re-work various aircraft structural components unsupervised.
  • Familiar with installation of aerospace fasteners, rivets and nut plates.
  • Interpret technical manuals, specifications, blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Maintain shop supplies and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Operate shop tools and equipment as trained.
  • Use precision measuring devices such as calipers and height gauges.
  • Perform inventory control via logging, tagging and organizing procedures.
  • Maintain tool control and accountability.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Must be self-starter, detail-oriented and organized
  • Must be able to accept and follow directions
  • Working knowledge of general manufacturing/fabrication processes
  • Manufacture, assemble, install and re‑work various aircraft structural components unsupervised
  • Familiar with the installation of various aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates etc.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Maintain shop supplies and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Operate complicated shop tools and equipment as trained and assigned
  • Use of precision measuring devices such as calipers, height, depth, dial, and screw pitch gauges
  • Perform inventory control using logging, tagging, and organizing procedures
  • Maintain tool control and accountability
  • Adhere to company policies and safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and Training
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred
Experience
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the required task area required
Security
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements
  • Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery
  • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls
  • Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
  • Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time

Salary

The projected salary range for this position is $60,000-85,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
