Job summary

Nexstar Media Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Master Control Operator responsible for the overall on-air look by airing programming and scheduled station breaks. You will update signal control systems, maintain logs, manage clips and content, monitor signal quality, and ensure EAS compliance while coordinating with engineering and programming teams.

The role requires a technical degree in digital electronics or broadcasting, strong English communication, and at least three years of broadcasting

Qualifications

• Formal education in digital electronics, broadcasting, or equivalent experience.
• Must be fluent in English with strong written and oral communication.
• Minimum three years' experience with digital electronics in a TV broadcasting environment.

Responsibilities

• Updates and maintains signal control systems
• Maintains programming logs as required by station management
• Segments content and clips to the server and then trims and modifies it
• Prints traffic logs and appends logs to the data management system
• Monitors strength, clarity and reliability of signals and adjusts equipment
• Selects sources from which programming will be received, or through which programming will be transmitted
• Reports equipment problems and ensures repairs are made and performs emergency repairs when necessary
• Ensures the station's compliance with Emergency Alert System requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned
