Job summary

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Commercial and Residential Carpenters for upcoming projects in San Diego, CA. This role involves reading blueprints, framing, and finishing interior elements to meet project specifications.

Pay ranges from $28–$30 per hour, based on experience and skillset. Candidates should bring own basic carpentry tools and PPE, and be able to read blueprints and perform layout work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial and/or residential carpentry experience.
• Must have own basic carpentry tools and PPE.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform layout work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Construct, install, repair, and modify wood and metal framing and support systems
• Perform commercial and/or residential framing and general carpentry
• Install and finish interior elements including drywall, doors, windows, cabinetry, and trim
• Perform accurate measurements, layout, cutting, and installation
• Install siding, insulation, flooring, roofing components, and other building materials as required
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
• Work alongside other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow company/jobsite safety requirements
