Job summary

Antwerpen Volkswagen in Maryland is seeking an experienced automotive service technician with 3+ years in the field. Join a team focused on delivering a safe, clean, and customer-friendly service experience.

You will test, diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle systems, communicate with the Service Advisor, and provide timely estimates while upholding dealership standards. ASE certification is preferred and commitment to excellence is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience as an auto technician.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Quick learner with excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Team player and valid driver’s license required.
• Maintain stall in an orderly and clean manner and identify problems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning.
• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed; provides an estimate of time for repairs.
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
