Job summary

Hendrick Automotive Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced automotive technician to identify necessary repairs and perform service and maintenance on customer vehicles. The role requires thorough knowledge of automotive systems, hands-on mechanical skills, and the ability to follow dealer and manufacturer guidelines.

Certifications such as ASE Master Technician and a valid driver’s license are highly regarded.

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems; strong mechanical skills.
Technical training or commensurate experience required.
Valid Driver’s License.
ASE Master Technician certification (may be required by manufacturer).
State inspection/emissions license required.
Completed manufacturer diagnostics, EV, diesel, and specialty-vehicles training.
Training to complete warranty repairs on all models.

Responsibilities

Examines customer vehicles.
Identifies necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Estimates cost of repairs.
Performs vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Documents services performed.
Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
Requests necessary parts.
Effectively utilizes available technologies to enhance customer experience.
Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
Participates in required training.
Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.
Complies with Company policies and procedures.
Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
