MASSAGE THERAPIST

SUMMARY

The Massage Therapist at Ember Lilly Spa is an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic guest experiences. The Massage Therapist ensures guests have an enjoyable and relaxing experience by engaging with them in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.

The Massage Therapist provides a variety of massage modalities and body treatments as listed on the Spa Menu, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal, Hot Stone, and other specialty services. Through exceptional guest service, the Massage Therapist recommends treatments, services, and retail products to meet the individual needs of each guest.

As a Massage Therapist, this position will exemplify the culture and values of Trailborn Jackson Hole Resort and Ember Lilly Spa while consistently providing exceptional service to both internal and external guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform all massage services and body treatments following established protocols and allotted treatment times.
• Provide Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal, Hot Stone, and other approved massage modalities.
• Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide the highest level of personalized guest service while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Conserve and monitor spa supplies and assets. Communicate product and inventory needs to the Spa Director.
• Complete daily shift checklists, including cleaning equipment, replenishing supplies, restocking linens, and maintaining treatment rooms.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service throughout the spa.
• Assist in the training and onboarding of spa team members as directed.
• Assist with special projects, events, spa promotions, and resort activations as needed.
• Promote spa services and retail products throughout the property.
• Consistently recommend treatments, services, and home care products based on guest needs.
• Provide guests with recommendations for continued wellness care and treatment plans when appropriate.
• Represent Ember Lilly Spa and Trailborn Jackson Hole Resort in a professional and positive manner.
• Assist with internal and external marketing efforts by participating in events and developing guest relationships.
• Utilize available time to support overall spa operations as requested.
• Clean and disinfect treatment rooms, equipment, tables, sinks, and work areas daily.
• Ensure all sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Assist with lifting, storing, and organizing spa equipment and products.
• Maintain complete knowledge of the proper use, operation, and maintenance of spa equipment.
• Follow all spa policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Report all guest or team member incidents, accidents, concerns, and safety hazards immediately to the Spa Director.
• Attend all required meetings, training sessions, and development programs.
• Perform all other duties assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must possess excellent communication and listening skills in English, both written and verbal.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Wyoming Massage Therapy License, or ability to obtain prior to employment, required.
• Proficiency in multiple massage modalities, including Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, and Hot Stone Massage required.
• Additional certifications in specialty modalities, including Salt Stone Massage and Muscle Energy Techniques, preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year of verified hands-on massage therapy experience required.
• Previous luxury spa, resort spa, or hospitality experience strongly preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to perform multiple massage treatments throughout a workday.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate spa equipment and maintain required sanitation standards.
