Job summary

Ten Thousand Waves is expanding our Therapy Department with highly skilled massage therapists. We support therapists with training, accredited CEUs, and a year-round schedule in our 24 therapy rooms, offering ample opportunities to grow professionally.

We operate with independent contractor arrangements, subsidized continuing education approved by NM Board, access to the Grand Bath, and full support for booking, linens, and upkeep. Expect to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience in providing massage treatments and therapeutic services, preferably in a spa or wellness center setting
• Trained in multiple therapeutic modalities
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Current massage therapy license issued by the state of New Mexico
• Desire and ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays

Job description

Over the last 45 years, Ten Thousand Waves has developed the reputation of having the best massage therapists in the US. The spectacular natural beauty of the facility and environment add to the healing experience guests receive.

We are looking to expand our Therapy Department with a few more highly skilled and experienced massage therapists. We support our therapists with many opportunities for high-quality training, education, and accredited CEUs. We have a year-round business, so therapists typically have plenty of work, even in the depths of winter. We're open from 9 am to 9 pm, 7 days per week with 24 therapy rooms, giving therapists a great choice when determining their schedules.

Requirements

• 1 year minimum experience in providing massage treatments and therapeutic services, preferably in a spa or wellness center setting
• Ability and willingness to be educated in Ten Thousand Waves treatments and tradecraft protocols
• Trained in multiple therapeutic modalities
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Current massage therapy license issued by the state of New Mexico
• Current workers compensation and professional liability insurance. We can guide you in this process.
• Desire and ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
