UAB Medicine is seeking a licensed Massage Therapist for the Honda Occupational Health Clinic at UAB St. Vincent's Lincoln.

The role focuses on therapeutic massage tailored to occupational health, injury recovery, and employee wellness, with plans and education to prevent re-injury. The position requires Alabama MT licensure and BLS within 30 days, along with a graduate from an accredited massage therapy school.

Formación

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Currently licensed as a Massage Therapist (MT) with the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy required.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts therapeutic massage and bodywork tailored to occupational health, workplace injury recovery, and employee wellness.
• Supports organizational efforts to reduce workplace injuries, improve employee function, and assist in return-to-work readiness.
• Provides targeted massage techniques for work-related discomfort (repetitive motion strain, postural imbalance, muscle fatigue).
• Develops and delivers customized therapy plans for employees with physically demanding roles.
• Educates employees on ergonomics, posture, and self-care to prevent re-injury and promote long-term wellness.
• Maintains accurate documentation of treatments, progress, and outcomes.
• Ensures massage therapy area meets safety and cleanliness standards in an occupational health clinic.
• Monitors responses to treatment and adjusts plans per feedback and clinical recommendations.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Description

Provides therapeutic massage and bodywork specifically tailored to occupational health, workplace injury
recovery, and employee wellness. Supports organizational efforts to reduce workplace injuries, improve
employee function, and assist in return-to-work readiness.

• Conducts occupationally focused assessments to determine musculoskeletal issues related to
  repetitive use, workplace strain, or injury.
• Provides targeted therapeutic massage techniques to address work-related discomfort (e.g.,
  repetitive motion strain, postural imbalance, muscle fatigue).
• Develops and delivers customized therapy plans to meet the needs of employees with physically
  demanding roles.
• Educates employees on proper ergonomics, posture, and self-care strategies to prevent re-injury
  and promote long-term wellness.
• Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of patient treatments, progress, and outcomes.
• Ensures massage therapy area meets safety and cleanliness standards appropriate for an
  occupational health clinic environment.
• Monitors employee response to treatment and adjusts plans based on feedback and clinical
  recommendations.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
