Witham Family Hotels in Bar Harbor, ME invites a skilled Massage Therapist to join our waterfront spa on a part-time seasonal basis from Spring to Fall. You will deliver diverse massage services, create a calming atmosphere, and conduct client consultations to tailor treatments.

The role requires a Maine license, 6+ months of experience, and strong communication skills. Weekends, nights, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Maine State Massage License
• 6+ months massage experience
• Proficient in reflexology, Swedish, prenatal, hot stone, trigger point, sports and deep tissue massage
• Excellent communication and people skills

Responsibilities

• Attending meetings and trainings
• Maintaining a clean, safe spa facility
• Setting up spa and work stations, ensuring cleanliness
• Assisting with keeping linens clean and tidy, replacing between sessions
• Sterilizing equipment
• Accompanying guests to treatment rooms
• Consulting with clients to identify appropriate massage services
• Providing massage services listed in the brochure
• Maintaining records and filing documentation
• Complying with all applicable standards, rules, and regulations
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Spa Manager

This role offers an hourly wage, service-based commission, and gratuity. The ideal candidate is available to work on Sundays and Thursdays, with the possibility of adding on additional days throughout the week. Your expertise will play a crucial role in providing rejuvenating experiences for our guests.

As a Massage Therapist, you will deliver exceptional massage and bodywork services tailored to the unique needs of our guests. Create a welcoming and calming atmosphere, ensuring guests feel comfortable and relaxed. Conduct consultations to understand guests' preferences and recommend appropriate treatments.

You will be working your magic on a full‑time seasonal basis from Spring to Fall. Weekends, nights, and holidays are a must. You would be guaranteed 20% gratuity, hourly rate plus commission based on experience.

Requirements:

• State of Maine Massage License
• 6+ months of work experience as a massage therapist
• Proficient knowledge of reflexology, Swedish, prenatal, hot stone, trigger point, sports, and deep tissue massage
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent people skills
• Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with keeping linens clean and tidy, and replacing them between sessions

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of standing
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
• Must be able to work early mornings, late nights, and unpredictable hours, including weekends and holidays

Performance Measurement:

90‑day performance review, annual performance review, attendance, productivity, feedback from others, Guest Response scores, etc.
