Responsibilities

• Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as medical massage and therapeutic therapy to address individual client needs
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern, creating SOAP notes
• Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments
• Greet patients at the front desk and reschedule patients before they leave
• Maintain detailed documentation of each session, including treatment notes and client progress reports
• Provide outstanding customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client questions or concerns with professionalism
• Adhere strictly to NYS licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and clinic policies at all times

Requirements

• Valid NYS Massage Therapist license in good standing with no disciplinary actions
• Proven experience in patient service, patient assessment, and delivering various massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy
• Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles
• Must have liability insurance
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and provide compassionate care
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings 3-7 PM or weekends if desired
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in massage therapy practices
