Job summary

Blackberry Mountain is seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our Spa team. You will greet guests, ensure their comfort, and provide 5-star massages and body treatments to restore relaxation.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, sanitizing areas, restocking supplies, and assisting front desk when needed. A TN state license with CEUs and 550+ hours are required; 3+ years as an LMT preferred.

Licensed Massage Therapist

Job description

Massage Therapist is responsible for greeting Blackberry Mountain guests in the Spa, making them comfortable, and providing them with 5 star massages and/or body treatments. The ultimate purpose is to provide relaxation and restoration to our guests. Must work with and aid other team members in spa operations to ensure a 5 star experience for the guest.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare room and tools necessary for scheduled treatments
• Ensure treatment room and areas are clean and sanitized using approved sanitizing procedures
• Restock treatment products in treatment areas
• Remove soiled laundry
• Bring in clean laundry
• Assist in opening and closing duties
• Transport guests
• Attend the front desk if the coordinator needs to briefly step away
• Perform a variety of massage modalities including deep tissue and hot stone massage
• Perform variety of body treatments
• Willingness to receive training on new procedures
• Any tasks deemed necessary by manager to keep spa clean, stocked, and operating smoothly

Looking for a candidate with great guest service skills and preferably 3+ years of experience in a resort/spa setting. Applicants must be able to work consistent weekends and holidays.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Must have TN State License required and required continuing education units
• 550 + hours of education required
• 3 years as a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Must have excellent verbal communication skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers and team members

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic math skills
