The MT will be responsible for providing massage therapy to fighter aircrew, focusing on prehabilitation to prevent injuries and improve quality of life. LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking a Massage Therapist to join our team.

Job Description

The Massage Therapist (MT) must possess and maintain an active, current, and unrestricted license or certification from the US jurisdiction where the service is to be provided. MTs provide prehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions in fighter aircrew. As such, the MT shall evaluate and provide massage therapy to fighter aircrew personnel as part of a prehabilitation program. Prehabilitation is intended to strengthen core musculoskeletal (MSK) system to enhance resistance to neck and back injury. Also, healthy lifestyle education is addressed as part of an overall health maintenance program to enhance injury resistance. Massage therapy focused on neck and back pain will improve the overall quality of life for fighter aircrew.

Requirements

• MT will have graduated from an MT certification program and maintain a license or certification from the state where the service is to be provided.
• MT must have experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletes, or equivalent.
• Possess current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.

• Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain Secret security clearance.

Other

• Possess oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers, outside agencies, vendors/providers, and Military Health System (MHS) stakeholders to provide briefings, presentations, research, and develop metrics to demonstrate or advance effective neck and back pain prevention.
