Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Mass Tort Attorney in Birmingham, AL to represent clients affected by corporate negligence, defective drugs, and medical devices. The role covers handling complex matters from intake to resolution within a collaborative, fast-paced team.

The attorney will evaluate claims, develop strategy, manage dockets in state and federal courts, and draft pleadings and motions. A JD and active AL bar license are required.

Qualifications

• JD required and active bar license in good standing (AL, or eligible for admission).
• 2-3 years of mass tort, class action, or MDL experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and investigate claims involving medical injuries, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
• Build case strategy, review medical records, and assess liability.
• Manage a docket of complex cases in state and federal court.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, and take and defend depositions.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Keep clients informed and supported throughout the process.
• Partner with paralegals, investigators, co-counsel, and outside experts.
• Stay current on pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer protection law.
