Job summary

UCSD Health Sciences seeks a Staff Research Associate III to serve as the primary coordinator for LC/MS‑based analytical workflows within the Agilent Center of Excellence at UCSD. The role combines chemistry and instrumentation expertise to independently execute complex analyses and support multidisciplinary biomedical research.

The incumbent will interface LC/MS technologies with cell biology, organoid platforms, systems biology, and multi-omics.

Qualifications

Theoretical knowledge in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or related discipline.
Extensive hands-on LC/MS instrumentation and method development experience.
Ability to independently carry out new experimental procedures.
Experience interpreting complex data for research aims.
Ability to maintain and operate laboratory equipment.
Familiarity with safety and biohazard guidelines.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Prism.
Experience contributing to manuscript preparation.

Responsibilities

Coordinate LC/MS-based analytical workflows within the Agilent CoE in Cellular Intelligence.
Develop and optimize analytical methods for complex samples.
Data acquisition, QC, and statistical analysis of datasets for collaborative teams.
Coordinate daily lab workflows across multiple instrumentation platforms.
Provide technical orientation to trainees and facility users.
Promote adoption of advanced analytical platforms across research community.
