Job summary

VetJobs seeks a Masonry Superintendent in Columbus, OH to lead field masonry operations on commercial projects. You will supervise foremen and crews, coordinate manpower and materials, and ensure work meets plans, specs, and schedules while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise masonry field operations, including Foremen, Masons, Mason Tenders, Operators, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and daily work activities to support project schedules and productivity goals.
  • Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and construction documents to ensure proper execution of work.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and other trades to support successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address field issues, conflicts, and construction challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite‑specific safety programs.
  • Conduct site visits, crew meetings, safety discussions, and progress reviews.
  • Support workforce development through training, mentoring, and performance management of field personnel.
  • Monitor labor budgets, equipment utilization, productivity, quality control, and schedule performance.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings, constructability reviews, and project planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, safety records, and field communication.
  • Serve as a technical resource and leader for masonry construction methods, materials, and best practices.
